Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Viriato Moura made the kick off and thus started the match. When Endura Abechuco came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the River CBBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Endura Abechuco couldn't finish the play. Ponciano Abarca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ponciano Abarca. In the 14th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 16th minute of the match. If Ponciano Abarca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Barovero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 20th minute of play. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 21st minute of play. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Viriato Moura scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Barovero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes River CBBA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Cipriano Abechuco got a free kick in the 41st minute. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Barovero having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 43rd minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Funes to make the kick off. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Barovero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endura Abechuco in the 58th minute of play. River CBBA made a substitution. Modesto Ado replaced Guerau Abeitia. 63 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. Fabricio Andrade's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Marcelo Barovero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fabricio Andrade did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Marcelo Barovero 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Endura Abechuco made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. After 73 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Bartolomeu Dias. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Funes, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Juan Funes sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. River CBBA's Santiago Solari was substituted for Endura Abechuco. With a little luck, River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Graciano Coutinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Funes in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Juan Funes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias, in the 91st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
