In the 22nd minute of the match, Edvaldo Branco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Keld Paulsen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 26 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Theis Winther. Denmark's Bjarne Kirkegaard managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Natalio Blanco in the 30 minute of the game. A collision led to Empire of Soccer getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Gerson Cruzado hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wit Beton during the 45th minute. After 47 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Kenn Skou. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
