The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Alex Lundkvist made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Alex Lundkvist threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
