Radomiak Radom's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, David Eikelkamp notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Radomiak Radom's Ireneusz Jeleń. Ireneusz Jeleń was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ireneusz Jeleń was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ireneusz Jeleń saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Radomiak Radom defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ireneusz Jeleń. The Radomiak Radom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ireneusz Jeleń should have stopped the shot. Ireneusz Jeleń came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Lars Meesters. But to his dismay, Lars Meesters quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Ireneusz Jeleń took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Radomiak Radom the free kick. The supporters of Radomiak Radom booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ireneusz Jeleń. Ireneusz Jeleń dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. When Przemyslaw Dylla fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Radomiak Radom's protests and gave Przemyslaw Dylla a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Radomiak Radom's Przemyslaw Dylla got a free kick in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 56th minute of play forced Radomiak Radom's goalkeeper Ireneusz Jeleń to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ireneusz Jeleń took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 69th minute of play forced Radomiak Radom's goalkeeper Ireneusz Jeleń to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very nice done corner allowed Bas Tuitert to score against Ireneusz Jeleń in Radomiak Radom's goal. 0-13 after 71 minutes. The crowd rose to their feet as Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ireneusz Jeleń. That made the score 0-14 in the 75 minute of play. Ireneusz Jeleń made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 78th minute. In the 78th match minute, Radomiak Radom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeusz Piglowski to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Groeneveldt succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-15 in the 79th playminute. The Radomiak Radom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ireneusz Jeleń should have stopped the shot. Radomiak Radom's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored to the left of an out of position Ireneusz Jeleń, making the score, 0-18. The Radomiak Radom fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
