Frank Peletier started the match with the kick off. When Remy Dupuy fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored France's protests and gave Remy Dupuy a yellow card for diving instead. Cyryl Kaider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyryl Kaider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Quentin Beaux fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored France's protests and gave Quentin Beaux a yellow card for diving instead. Quentin Beaux hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 22 minutes France's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stasio Hajduk who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of France's goalie and right to Pawel Gargasz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. France's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mario Balotelli kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Pogoń Staszów's Urritz Nestares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxime Durand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urritz Nestares's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Pogoń Staszów's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stasio Hajduk in the 36th minute. A nice corner shot did that Urritz Nestares got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maxime Durand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cyryl Kaider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Peletier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Maxime Durand managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Pogoń Staszów's Paul Săraru fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Balotelli made a kick off. Mario Balotelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pogoń Staszów booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Peletier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pogoń Staszów's Cyryl Kaider proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Pogoń Staszów from getting a goal against them. Frank Peletier came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cyryl Kaider could save by the left post. Cyryl Kaider made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Peletier in the 79th minute. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Balotelli in the 80th minute of play. Frank Peletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Cyryl Kaider made a huge save. After a rather tough play, France's Camille Baume got a free kick in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Balotelli in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. Frank Peletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Cyryl Kaider made a huge save. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jean Bombelles hit a great ball. The France players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
