The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Torbjörn Nilsson got the match started through his kick off. Ronnie Meck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Mutumba in the 3rd minute of the match. 3 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Mutumba came free, but Ronnie Meck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, one of Vykans Vikingar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 9th minute Faas Wilkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Meck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faas Wilkes's late challenge caught a U21 Sweden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faas Wilkes helped the player get up and apologised. Faas Wilkes kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. When U21 Sweden's Balthazar Bär in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vykans Vikingar's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vykans Vikingar's zone, Balthazar Bär stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal and Balthazar Bär tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Mutumba came free, but Ronnie Meck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balthazar Bär, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ronnie Meck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Micucci in the 24th minute of play. Jose Indalecio made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eric Van Lint. Balthazar Bär might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Ekrot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Balthazar Bär ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Balthazar Bär came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, U21 Sweden's Balthazar Bär nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Ekrot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marcus Ekrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balthazar Bär in the 42nd minute. Alessandro Micucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Meck having to interfere. In the 47th minute Martin Mutumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Meck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alessandro Micucci made the kick off in the second half. Faas Wilkes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Ronnie Meck made a huge save. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balthazar Bär, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After taking down the ball on U21 Sweden's corner Torbjörn Nilsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcus Ekrot quite easily take care of the ball. After 58 played minutes U21 Sweden got a freekick which was hit by Svante Forsell. Ronnie Meck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Mutumba in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Balthazar Bär cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcus Ekrot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U21 Sweden's Sven-Olof Hamberg was substituted for Torbjörn Nilsson. U21 Sweden made a substitution. Ivar Nickov replaced Balthazar Bär. In the 69th minute, Christoffer Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Flamez hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of U21 Sweden booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Indalecio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Nickov in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronnie Meck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Vykans Vikingar's zone, Ivar Nickov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal and Ivar Nickov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Ivar Nickov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivar Nickov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 90th minute Ivar Nickov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Sweden's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Emmanuel Dennis scored to the left of an out of position Ronnie Meck, making the score, 3-2. Many of Vykans Vikingar's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Vykans Vikingar may have spent more time on the ball, but U21 Sweden were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
