In the 2nd match minute, Kekambas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Peio to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Blas Peio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kekambas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Edgard Costa hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. A collision led to Bucéfalo FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Thomás Freitas hit a great ball. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Ixaka in the 32nd minute of play. Kekambas FC's Higinio Blasi got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Pedro Ixaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Edgard Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bucéfalo FC and the Kekambas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kekambas FC booed when Bucéfalo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Pascual Garin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro. Pedro Luís Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Ixaka to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Damião. The supporters of Bucéfalo FC booed when Kekambas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Blasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Iratxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tico Mole, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Antônio Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Iratxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kekambas FC's Higinio Blasi got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eleuterio Ralondo, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 71st minute, Kekambas FC's Pedro Ixaka dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Pedro Ixaka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute of the match, Blas Peio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Blas Peio scored 0-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Thomás Freitas got a free kick in the 85th minute. Blas Peio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Montenegro having to interfere. When Antônio Ceresso fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bucéfalo FC's protests and gave Antônio Ceresso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Kekambas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
