In the 11th match minute, Unidade Pinto Louco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Fábio de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Fonda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Lago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Freddy Gil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Acácio Domingues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Freddy Gil made a huge save. After 21 played minutes Club Atletico Chusca got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Marko. 24 minutes into the match, Celestino Fonda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio de Godoi. Unidade Pinto Louco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celestino Fonda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Unidade Pinto Louco's Fábio de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Fiz in the 28th minute of play. Fábio de Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Artemio Jordy went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 37th match minute, Unidade Pinto Louco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Goiano to maneuver through the defense. Fábio de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Fonda in the 38th minute of the match. Artemio Jordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio de Godoi having to interfere. Club Atletico Chusca's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mário Almeida 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute, Club Atletico Chusca's Eleuterio Cordareo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eleuterio Cordareo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atletico Chusca protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eleuterio Cordareo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Unidade Pinto Louco. Délio Lara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Freddy Gil. 3-2. Freddy Gil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddy Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The supporters of Club Atletico Chusca booed when Unidade Pinto Louco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vivaldo Lago fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unidade Pinto Louco's protests and gave Vivaldo Lago a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Vivaldo Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Artemio Jordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio de Godoi having to interfere. Vivaldo Lago might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Gil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vivaldo Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. After 81 minutes, Vivaldo Lago made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico Chusca's Freddy Gil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Artemio Jordy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fábio de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Unidade Pinto Louco's goalkeeper Fábio de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celestino Fonda. Fábio de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Jordy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaudencio Marko struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Fábio de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Chusca.
