Blas Peio started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Blas Peio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kekambas FC and the Xiboquinha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kekambas FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Blas Peio hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the game, Dionisio Felo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kekambas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xiboquinha FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kekambas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Esteban Lazcano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Frédson Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Peio came free, but Frédson Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xiboquinha FC's Frédson Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Lazcano in the 13th minute of play. Frédson Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Lazcano, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Xiboquinha FC's David Guedes got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes, Kekambas FC's Higinio Blasi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frédson Freire came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kekambas FC reached it. Arnaldo Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Kekambas FC's goalkeeper Esteve Iratxo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Meirelles. Arnaldo Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Peio in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frédson Freire saved Xiboquinha FC from getting behind. After having played for 38 minutes, André Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xiboquinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Kekambas FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Esteban Lazcano hit a great ball. If Leonel Enaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ravi Ninho to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Arnaldo Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Lazcano got free with Frédson Freire in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blas Peio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Frédson Freire when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Kekambas FC booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xiboquinha FC's Frédson Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Xiboquinha FC from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the game, Kekambas FC's Higinio Blasi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frédson Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Baiano in the 69th minute of play forced Kekambas FC's goalkeeper Esteve Iratxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frédson Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Lazcano in the 73rd minute of play. After 86 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Ramalho. David Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Xiboquinha FC's Ravi Ninho got a free kick in the 94th minute. Arnaldo Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Baiano. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
