Arne Gunnarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilário Aveiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to G.D Vitória de Sernache getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Manuel Correia hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the game, Arne Gunnarsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hilário Aveiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. G.D Vitória de Sernache's Hilário Aveiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Nilsson in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to G.D Vitória de Sernache getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Manuel Correia hit a great ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind G.D Vitória de Sernache's goalkeeper Hilário Aveiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Preator Edikt's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Vaz came free, but Jim Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Arne Gunnarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preator Edikt's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Gunnarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilário Aveiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Torbjörn Nilsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilário Aveiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severino Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hilário Aveiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Gunnarsson in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torbjörn Nilsson got free with Hilário Aveiro in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. G.D Vitória de Sernache's supporters rose to their feet, but Heitor Vigário was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arne Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. G.D Vitória de Sernache's Hilário Aveiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save G.D Vitória de Sernache from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute, Torbjörn Nilsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Preator Edikt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 79th match minute, G.D Vitória de Sernache was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Correia to maneuver through the defense. Hilário Aveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Gunnarsson in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Hermínio Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind G.D Vitória de Sernache's goalkeeper Hilário Aveiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Arne Gunnarsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hilário Aveiro. That made the score 0-5 in the 83 minute of play. After 85 minutes, Fabrício Graça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the G.D Vitória de Sernache and the Preator Edikt players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87thth minute of the game Arne Gunnarsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but G.D Vitória de Sernache's Hilário Aveiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Arne Gunnarsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hilário Aveiro. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 94th minute, Arne Gunnarsson made a precise shot to the right of Hilário Aveiro. G.D Vitória de Sernache's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Preator Edikt played a much better game than G.D Vitória de Sernache and deserved their victory. The G.D Vitória de Sernache players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
