A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Cantona in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artemio Bidun saved EL COCO from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicasio Belmiro to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nicasio Belmiro came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the EL COCO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicasio Belmiro couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kustaa Vappula in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artemio Bidun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the EL COCO defense, Taito Tuulola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artemio Bidun. The EL COCO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artemio Bidun should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Macerio came free, but Juha Jokiranta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
