In the 5th minute, Caetano Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesus Satordi made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Caetano Simões sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Caetano Simões took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jesus Satordi to make any attempt to save it. Dibag Martinez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adam Cornell went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Cornell in the 18th minute of play forced Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Dibag Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th match minute, Elizabeth Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerry Pullen to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caetano Simões in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jesus Satordi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Michail Antonio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tiquinho Soares hit a great ball. A hard shot by Vaggelis Sofianos from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Jesus Satordi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Caetano Simões put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jesus Satordi. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Caetano Simões 35 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. 38 minutes into the match, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiquinho Soares came free, but Jesus Satordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Tiquinho Soares notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Jesus Satordi. Jesus Satordi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes in the game Gerry Pullen did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ray Cornell. A hard shot 43 in the game by Caetano Simões from a close distance when the talented Jesus Satordi managed to make a qualified save. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's players were relieved. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Caetano Simões 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ray Cornell made a kick off. Caetano Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Jesus Satordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Simões in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match Xiboquinha FC got a corner. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olavo Moreno ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Olavo Moreno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Jesus Satordi did a great save. In the 59thth minute of the game Caetano Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Jesus Satordi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Elizabeth Three Lions FC defense, Caetano Simões kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesus Satordi. The Elizabeth Three Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesus Satordi should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Leite in the 72nd minute of play forced Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper Jesus Satordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Dibag Martinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Cornell. Jesus Satordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Leite in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Gerry Pullen got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Santiago Ascacíbar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xiboquinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Ascacíbar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute Santiago Ascacíbar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Satordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Tiago Safadão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jesus Satordi. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago Safadão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. Caetano Simões scored 8-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesus Satordi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
