The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Pieters got free with Arnout Reekers in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donny Slot to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, David Eikelkamp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Taco Uebels. In the 76th match minute, AC Pitt Bier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donny Slot to maneuver through the defense. AC Pitt Bier's Elco Das was substituted for Martijn Makaay.
