After 10 minutes of play, AllRaf EC's 柳文谦 made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Guilherme Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Guilherme Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. AllRaf EC made a substitution. One of AllRaf EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. AllRaf EC:s Aitor España showed great skill when he stopped Gijsbert ter Kruimer:s penalty. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Aitor España didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 柳文谦 in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Aitor España showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aitor España was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers was a little too slow when 柳文谦 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 3-1. Aitor España took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 柳文谦 in the 41st minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Lukasz Zembrzuski sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, the referee gave Netherlands a penalty. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Ivo Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivo Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Gustavo Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aitor España but with some difficulty. In the 75th minute Ivo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aitor España made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Aitor España took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 99th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Aitor España despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Netherlands's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
