The throw-in from Felipe Barreto in the 2nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Project Nemesis's Cyryl Smolarek. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Acosta went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Acosta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Caetano Moreira made a precise shot to the right of Peter Parker. Project Nemesis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Luciano Acosta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Luciano Acosta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Luciano Acosta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Luciano Acosta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Acosta in the 30th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Acosta in the 34th minute of play. Project Nemesis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paavali Seracino Inglott in the 35th minute. After taking down the ball on Project Nemesis's corner Paavali Seracino Inglott fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Project Nemesis defense, Caetano Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Parker. The Project Nemesis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Parker should have stopped the shot. Project Nemesis's attentive Paavali Seracino Inglott managed to snatch the ball when Fabricio Andrade made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. Portugal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luciano Acosta 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Acosta in the 52nd minute of play. Bruno Bastos made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Caetano Moreira however managed to control. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Acosta in the 56th minute of play. Project Nemesis's Peter Parker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 59th minute of play. Luciano Acosta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Luciano Acosta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Luciano Acosta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Project Nemesis's A.J. Beardsley was substituted for Marek Panasewicz. Faustino Almeida made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Project Nemesis's Izydor Konopka. Transito Betonowy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Transito Betonowy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Transito Betonowy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Transito Betonowy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
