Gustaaf Groeneveldt succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 19th minute of the match. Roy Makaay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Makaay in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Nenko Reza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 24th minute of play. Kees Mooiweer got a throw-in 25 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. In the 27th match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Wawrukiewicz to maneuver through the defense. After 32 minutes of play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 37th minute of play. Nenko Reza came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Villaverde Celeste Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Nenko Reza made a huge save. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Villaverde Celeste Clube! Nenko Reza had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Gijsbert ter Kruimer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 63rd minute of play. Egbert Nijveldt got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Dino Manfredi kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, David Eikelkamp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nenko Reza. David Eikelkamp showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 87th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Guo Ao came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Zeledon Vachon got a free kick in the 96th minute.
