Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Stig-Arne Stenman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acuña's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Arne Stenman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Long Liang Wei in the 17th minute. Acuña's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guaberto Pacifico in the 18th minute. Bartolo Jerold was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 27 minutes into the match, Acuña's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Gil Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Stig-Arne Stenman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Gil Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 46th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gil Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Claus in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Acuña's goalkeeper Gil Leme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Americo Gregory's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Gregory helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hungary booed when Acuña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Gregory didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 58th minute of play forced Acuña's goalkeeper Gil Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Acuña's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 65 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Antal Valentin sped through Acuña's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Leme. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Arne Stenman in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Acuña's goal looked a bit too open when Katona Janos came free, but Gil Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Hungary's Major Barna dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. 84 minutes into the match, Acuña's Carolo Claus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Long Liang Wei scored 2-4 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
