Scotland's Alexander Higgins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Scotland from getting a goal against them. Alexander Higgins made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Paulo José Godoi sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Afonso de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E.R Corujão's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso de Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Higgins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo José Godoi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexander Higgins firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Scotland's Alexander Higgins got control of the ball when Fausto Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fausto Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Otávio Meirelles in the 21st minute really tested Alexander Higgins's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo José Godoi in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Higgins saved Scotland from getting behind. S.E.R Corujão's Paulo José Godoi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paulo José Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Alexander Higgins made a huge save. After 33 played minutes S.E.R Corujão got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo da Silveira. Robert McNeill kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ashton Nelson during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashton Nelson to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Luan Custódio made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Higgins. Scotland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Afonso de Medeiros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alexander Higgins came out and tried to block the shot, but Afonso de Medeiros slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo José Godoi made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Luan Custódio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Higgins was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Alexander Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the game, Paulo José Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Alexander Higgins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute, Paulo José Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.E.R Corujão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Alexander Higgins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo José Godoi went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Scotland defense, Paulo José Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Higgins. The Scotland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Higgins should have stopped the shot. Alexander Higgins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Toscano in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Luan Custódio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Higgins was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. The S.E.R Corujão fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when S.E.R Corujão's Paulo José Godoi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 93 minutes of play, S.E.R Corujão's Luan Custódio made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Higgins was left in no man's land by his defense there! S.E.R Corujão walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
