Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Alvaro Pardini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 8th minute of play. Alvaro Pardini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Hungary booed when Foot Ball Club di Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Anastasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Pardini having to interfere. Alvaro Pardini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Biagio Scoca. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Niccolo Zaniolo sent off a good shot on target. Biagio Scocas short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Fodor Daniel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alvaro Pardini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Niccolo Zaniolo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foot Ball Club di Roma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niccolo Zaniolo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Foot Ball Club di Roma's Niccolo Zaniolo. But to his dismay, Niccolo Zaniolo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Foot Ball Club di Roma made a substitution. Fedele Cimino replaced Armando Ceresoli. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niccolo Zaniolo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Alvaro Pardini in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niccolo Zaniolo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Balazs Lajos took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Alvaro Pardini to make any attempt to save it. Major Barna scored 1-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvaro Pardini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Pardini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 73rd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Pardini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Leandro Greco got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Pardini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. One of Foot Ball Club di Roma:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hungary:s goal. Antal Valentin placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Antal Valentin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Alvaro Pardini 91 minutes into the match. Antal Valentin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Alvaro Pardini when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
