An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar de Amaral in the 3rd minute of play forced Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalkeeper Angel Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Amancio Mitxel took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sylwester Zarobski to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes into the match, Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Cavalcante came free, but Angel Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Cavalcante's late challenge caught a Beto Martini MZ 20 years's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdir Cavalcante helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Grêmio 20 Julho getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Valdir Cavalcante hit a great ball. Sylwester Zarobski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elano Severo. Valdemar de Amaral scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angel Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Sylwester Zarobski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amancio Mitxel. A collision led to Grêmio 20 Julho getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Valdir Cavalcante hit a great ball. Cauã Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Angel Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amancio Mitxel in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylwester Zarobski saved Grêmio 20 Julho from getting behind. Amancio Mitxel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sylwester Zarobski came out and tried to block the shot, but Amancio Mitxel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. Sylwester Zarobski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genílson Peixoto in the 42nd minute. After 45 minutes, Tiaguinho Saldanha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio 20 Julho and the Beto Martini MZ 20 years players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Grêmio 20 Julho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdemar de Amaral was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Beto Martini MZ 20 years was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Gilmar Romero hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute Amancio Mitxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Zarobski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Amancio Mitxel in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grêmio 20 Julho's goalie prevented a goal. Grêmio 20 Julho's Sylwester Zarobski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Mitxel in the 62nd minute of play. Angel Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar de Amaral in the 65th minute of the match. Sylwester Zarobski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Peixoto in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Amancio Mitxel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sylwester Zarobski. Grêmio 20 Julho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amancio Mitxel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Grêmio 20 Julho made a substitution. Jânio Pires replaced Tiaguinho Saldanha. Sylwester Zarobski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Peixoto in the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Franklin Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match Elano Severo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sylwester Zarobski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Mitxel in the 87th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Sylwester Zarobski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio 20 Julho's Kléber Borges got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 91 played minutes Beto Martini MZ 20 years got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Vedillo. Franklin Galvão struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Angel Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio 20 Julho. If Valdir Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beto Martini MZ 20 years fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grêmio 20 Julho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
