In the 45th minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Scaloneta's Lionel Messi got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. Vörös Henrik hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62ndth minute of the game Lionel Messi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Leo Asteri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Major Barna scored 1-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Asteri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Antal Valentin hit a great ball. Ángel-Fabián Di María replaced Leandro Paredes. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Lautaro Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Scaloneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
