Mike Axisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Cazacu, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Kim Bolas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tanek Narbut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. SALI's Tanek Narbut proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save SALI from getting a goal against them. Tanek Narbut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Cupial in the 11th minute of play. Mike Axisa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucrețiu Cazacu's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tanek Narbut. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sliema Dragons FC's 周斐俊 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Damian Jaraczewski in the 22 minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Kim Bolas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tanek Narbut. The goal made the score 3-0. The supporters of SALI booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Demicoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Wojtowicz in the 30th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Lucrețiu Cazacu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Leszek Cupial shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Narbut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tanek Narbut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Cupial in the 38th minute of the match. Mike Axisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Nalaskowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SALI's Tanek Narbut got control of the ball when Leszek Cupial tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leszek Cupial in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tanek Narbut saved SALI from getting behind. Sliema Dragons FC's Mike Axisa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Wojtowicz in the 43rd minute of play. If Kim Bolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kim Bolas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Narbut having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucrețiu Cazacu was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Artur Wojtowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SALI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Wojtowicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68thth minute of the game Kim Bolas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SALI's Tanek Narbut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kim Bolas struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tanek Narbut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sliema Dragons FC. After 73 minutes of play, Sliema Dragons FC's Dejan Cassar made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tanek Narbut was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the SALI defense, Dejan Cassar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanek Narbut. The SALI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanek Narbut should have stopped the shot. Tanek Narbut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Cupial, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Dejan Cassar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dejan Cassar in the 87th minute of play forced SALI's goalkeeper Tanek Narbut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Artur Wojtowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dejan Cassar might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanek Narbut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dejan Cassar ran back to his position shaking his head. When Sliema Dragons FC's Dejan Cassar in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SALI's goalie prevented a goal. Sliema Dragons FC's Leszek Cupial was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tanek Narbut in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dejan Cassar in the 96th minute of play forced SALI's goalkeeper Tanek Narbut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Jaraczewski thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Tanek Narbut, a very annoying self made goal in the 98th minute which led to 10-0.
