But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leszek Cupial couldn't finish the play. Mike Axisa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Arvidsson in the 7th minute of the match. Serafin Eate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Cupial in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute Lauro Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovanni Demicoli was slow to take the kick. During this time Sliema Dragons FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which 周斐俊 managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Serafin Eate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leszek Cupial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mike Axisa came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Chusca's Lauro Moreira. But to his dismay, Lauro Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Sliema Dragons FC's Matteo Borda quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Neno Lehchanski, made in the 45th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Kim Bolas made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lauro Moreira.
