Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Scotland's Zac O'Donnell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd play minute Francisco Graham came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alexander Higgins. 1-0. Mario Gleason succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Alexander Higgins stood somewhat misplaced when Mario Gleason came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. When Kirby Siegel came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirby Siegel couldn't finish the play. Alexander Higgins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Graham in the 24th minute. Zac O'Donnell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Mario Gleason dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. In the 35th minute, Mario Gleason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Mario Gleason put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alexander Higgins. Alexander Higgins made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Bradley Brasseur sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the match, Scotland's goalkeeper Alexander Higgins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Gleason. Scotland's Alexander Higgins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Scotland from getting a goal against them. 48 minutes into the match, Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Gleason came free, but Alexander Higgins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 minutes, Mario Gleason made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Scotland's Alexander Higgins tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

Alexander Higgins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Gleason's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Alexander Higgins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Gleason in the 64th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Francisco Graham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Robert McNeill came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Scotland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert McNeill couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Francisco Graham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 83 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Kirby Siegel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexander Higgins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Clark Gagnon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Higgins having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Mario Gleason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Gleason in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Higgins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sport Lisboa e Benfica walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
