Celso Cruz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Wilson Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Andrew Robertson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Urko FC booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Caetano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Arnas in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match, Antonio Arnas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Arnas got free with Wilson Amorim in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Celso Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Arnas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filomeno Kauldi. Binjamin Van Campenhout hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Cruz in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Antonio Arnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Portugal's Daniel Pimentel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Binjamin Van Campenhout in the 52 minute of the game. Sebastián Torrico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 56th minute of the match. Urko FC's Andrew Robertson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felipe Barreto, made in the 60th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Portugal's Felipe Barreto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastián Torrico. That made the score 1-1 after 62 minutes of play. Urko FC's Denis Alonso was substituted for Celso Cruz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Baudelio in the 66th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Caetano Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Sebastián Torrico made a huge save. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Alonso in the 74th minute of the match. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias managed to work through Urko FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bartolomeu Dias dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Portugal's Graciano Coutinho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Binjamin Van Campenhout in the 78 minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sebastián Torrico. Sebastián Torrico yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 84th minute, Denis Alonso made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 86th minute, Binjamin Van Campenhout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Portugal reached it. If Denis Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Alonso in the 88th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Urko FC were awarded a corner. Andrew Robertson went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in John Volkertsen heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
