Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Rossi came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With an all-out effort, Frontera AFC's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodrigo Palacio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 12 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 26th minute of the match. Fabian Jaroszewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Frontera AFC's zone, David Eikelkamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustín Rossi came out of the goal and David Eikelkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Cisco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 40th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Naohiro Takahara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvestre Cisco to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. With a little luck, Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frontera AFC's Gonzalo Pacifico was substituted for Celso Betadur. After 63 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. 69 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's Naohiro Takahara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute Silvestre Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Rossi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Frontera AFC's Luis Advíncula got a free kick in the 76th minute. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 85th minute, Luis Advíncula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Frontera AFC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer didn't get a good kick on the ball.
