The audience thought a goal was coming when Stayko Bobekov got free with Fabio Auer in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Zhivko Kudev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabio Auer. Zhivko Kudev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhivko Kudev in the 25th minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 played minutes Birmingham City F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Milko Momchilov. A collision led to Birmingham City F.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Stayko Bobekov hit a great ball. If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Auer made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Luis Alberto Suárez sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Alberto Suárez in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Auer saved Austria from getting behind. Austria's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Zhivko Kudev scored to the left of an out of position Fabio Auer, making the score, 5-0.

The wind increased when Sandro Galishoff made the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Birmingham City F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Slavyan Agov. When Birmingham City F.C.'s Luis Alberto Suárez in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 71stth minute of the game Luis Alberto Suárez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Austria's Fabio Auer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Luis Alberto Suárez sped through Austria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabio Auer. Milko Momchilov's late challenge caught a Austria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milko Momchilov helped the player get up and apologised. Fabio Schneider recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 84 minutes, Marc Kronecker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austria and the Birmingham City F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Birmingham City F.C. booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Kronecker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stayko Bobekov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Schneider was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Fabio Schneider hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Luis Alberto Suárez made a precise shot to the right of Fabio Auer. Austria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Peycho Zvezdanov put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Auer.
