Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. A well-hit corner resulted in Sakarias Allbom heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Toledo in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Germano Vasconcelos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Ascaso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juan Pablo Teran in the 25th minute. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Paulo Victor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adria Bielsa in the 32nd minute of play forced TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Paulo Victor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute of the match Spain got a corner. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Omar Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Omar Toledo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo Victor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gabriel Ascaso was a little too slow when Germano Vasconcelos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathias Alves to make the kick off. Adria Bielsa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Alves came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathias Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Ascaso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Paulo Victor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 59th minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 71 minutes of play, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Mathias Alves made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Ascaso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Spain's Carles Cherro was substituted for Omar Toledo. 76 minutes into the match, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Mathias Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Ascaso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mathias Alves scored 3-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Ascaso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Spain's Sergio Ruiz was substituted for Adria Bielsa. Spain's Pau Herrero was substituted for David Aranda. 83 minutes into the match, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Ruiz came free, but Paulo Victor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Ruiz in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Sergio Ruiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Victor. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Ruiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 94th minute, Spain's Carles Cherro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Victor. Paulo Victor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Spain were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
