Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicklas Håkansson during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vedat Arslanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Frank Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Frank Sachs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ola Berg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ola Berg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Alkvist in the 30th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ola Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Vedat Arslanoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jofurs Drängar's supporters rose to their feet, but Vedat Arslanoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Vedat Arslanoğlu sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Phan Dung made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Phan Dung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Glad in the 58th minute of play. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Phan Dung went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Osvald Alkvist made in the 67th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Inge Nilsson immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 68 minutes, Magnus Glad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jofurs Drängar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magnus Glad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ola Berg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Magnus Glad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Magnus Glad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 played minutes Jofurs Drängar got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Björklund. In the 86th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ola Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albin Holweck took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ola Berg. Ola Berg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Alfons Helström got in the 95th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Tommy Kahn handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.
