After 4 minutes Lobo Guará's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Daniel Anaya quite easily take care of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Daniel Anaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Wim Wilmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ezequiel Pereira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 11th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Anaya. Lobo Guará's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Meesters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Anaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Daniel Anaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 35th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Pereira in the 36th minute of the match. Lobo Guará's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nando Barbosa in the 37th minute. The corner led Lobo Guará's Nando Barbosa to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rodolfo Soares hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ezequiel Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Anaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ezequiel Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Pereira in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Daniel Anaya made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Daniel Anaya. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniel Anaya firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Daniel Anaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 minutes of play, Lobo Guará's Ezequiel Pereira made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Anaya having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Caca-Rato in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Lobo Guará were awarded a corner. Nando Barbosa went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Rodolfo Soares heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 97th minute Lars Meesters collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 97 minutes, Berker Başhekim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lobo Guará and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. Netherlands's Sijmen Clous was substituted for Lars Meesters. Sijmen Clous took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Anaya. Lobo Guará's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Netherlands played a much better game than Lobo Guará and deserved their victory. The Lobo Guará players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
