Romaric Orsoni took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lech Blochowiak. Tours Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lech Blochowiak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Beaune, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustin Hamet in the 11th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Pierre Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Aziz Koehler got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pierre Peeters quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Arif Çelebi Ergeners short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Pierre Peeters to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Pierre Peeters successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Lyon 69ers defense, Arif Çelebi Ergener kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre Peeters. The Lyon 69ers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre Peeters should have stopped the shot. Pierre Peeters made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arif Çelebi Ergener in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Lyon 69ers's Tom Beaune nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lech Blochowiak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Pierre Peeters came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Tours Football Club's Arif Çelebi Ergener. But to his dismay, Arif Çelebi Ergener quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Pierre Peeters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Çelebi Ergener, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 38 minutes of play, Tours Football Club's Arif Çelebi Ergener made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierre Peeters was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, Tours Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Lecanu came free, but Lech Blochowiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Tours Football Club's Arif Çelebi Ergener nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arif Çelebi Ergener stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Tours Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Beaune came free, but Lech Blochowiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cyrille Jenny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tours Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Cyrille Jenny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre Peeters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyrille Jenny in the 91st minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Pierre Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lyon 69ers getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jean-Marc Gesbert hit a great ball. Lyon 69ers's Pierre Peeters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrille Jenny in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lyon 69ers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guy Jourdan was slow to take the kick. During this time Tours Football Club's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Guy Jourdan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lyon 69ers's Pierre Peeters did a great save. Guy Jourdan's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Pierre Peeters on his right side and into the goal. 95 minutes into the game it was 7-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lyon 69ers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tours Football Club.
