Ludovic Guillois didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes ANAHA FC got a freekick which was hit by Éluard Plantade. In the 7th minute Cyrille Melon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Firmin Négrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustave Souchu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Ibañez went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Francisco Ibañez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustave Souchu came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by ANAHA FC's Francisco Ibañez. But to his dismay, Francisco Ibañez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Dudu Georgescu came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the ANAHA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudu Georgescu couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Djibril Herbaut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Georgescu came free, but Gustave Souchu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ANAHA FC were furious when Éluard Plantade was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 34th minute, one of ANAHA FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ANAHA FC. ANAHA FC:s Firmin Négrel showed great skill when he stopped Cyrille Melon:s penalty. After 36 minutes of play, R.C. Marseille's Cyrille Melon made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Firmin Négrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of ANAHA FC booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Song Xing Le didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustave Souchu made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Francisco Ibañez sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute of the match ANAHA FC got a corner. R.C. Marseille's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damian Vicente ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ANAHA FC's Damian Vicente to fire away a dangerous shot which Gustave Souchu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dudu Georgescu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The supporters of ANAHA FC booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Marc Buisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu got control of the ball when Francisco Ibañez tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Ibañez made a kick off. Firmin Négrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrille Melon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 58 minutes, Francisco Ibañez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ANAHA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Ibañez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to ANAHA FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ludovic Guillois hit a great ball. Firmin Négrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrille Melon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ANAHA FC's Cayetano Ponc was substituted for Tanek Walczyk. R.C. Marseille's Djibril Mourot was substituted for Mihail Toader. After 68 minutes ANAHA FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Renan Bouzat who took care of the corner kick. Cyrille Melon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Firmin Négrel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to R.C. Francisco Ibañez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustave Souchu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match ANAHA FC got a corner. R.C. Marseille's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cayetano Ponc ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Ibañez in the 85th minute of play forced R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Souchu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 88 in the game by Cyrille Melon from a close distance when the talented Firmin Négrel managed to make a qualified save. ANAHA FC's players were relieved. ANAHA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Djibril Mourot scored to the left of an out of position Firmin Négrel, making the score, 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the R.C. Marseille players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
