In the 26th minute of the match, Oktay Derelioğlu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnout Reekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 27 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sabri Dino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Dikili Sahil Spor's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wim Wilmes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Sabri Dino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 72 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Dikili Sahil Spor's Sabri Dino. Sabri Dino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute Severino Abeyta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dikili Sahil Spor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! 84 minutes into the match, Dikili Sahil Spor's goalkeeper Sabri Dino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. In the 97th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sabri Dino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
