The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Villaverde Celeste Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Nenko Reza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Makaay, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nenko Reza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Makaay came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. Nenko Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Roy Makaay made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Makaay in the 39th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Makaay, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay got a free kick in the 44th minute. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 55th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guo Ao was slow to take the kick. During this time Villaverde Celeste Clube's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Szekeres Tamas got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Makaay in the 63rd minute of play. Roy Makaay struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villaverde Celeste Clube. With a little luck, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza got control of the ball when Takacs Tibor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute, Roy Makaay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Szekeres Tamas made in the 76th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Takacs Tibor. In the 80th minute of the match Villaverde Celeste Clube got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guo Ao ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Villaverde Celeste Clube's Armandinho Xavier getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Roy Makaay took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Antal Valentin got a free kick in the 86th minute. Roy Makaay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, one of Hungary:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hungary. Fodor Daniel went to the wrong direction when Roy Makaay was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Roy Makaay notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Hungary's Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
