In the 17th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ain Trumm sent off a good shot on target. Risto Mihailovski hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Sällskapet BK's Keld Paulsen threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ain Trumm, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Stellan Söderberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Bertram Svenningsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Risto Mihailovski. In the 39th minute, Ain Trumm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 41st minute of play forced Sällskapet BK's goalkeeper Stellan Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Thomas Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ain Trumm was the one to do the kick off. Stellan Söderberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 51st minute of play. Denmark's Theis Winther quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Esbjörn Strand, made in the 54th minute of the game. Denmark were furious when Mathias Ludvigsen was red carded, 69 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Denmark:s Keld Paulsen showed great skill when he stopped Risto Mihailovski:s penalty. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ain Trumm in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sällskapet BK's zone, Mikkel Wulff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stellan Söderberg came out of the goal and Mikkel Wulff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Danielsson in the 81st minute of play. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Sjöö, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 86 minutes of play Sällskapet BK's Thomas Danielsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th minute, Thomas Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sällskapet BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
