Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, AFC Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Mircea Mitulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Mitulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Macri kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Mikkel Wulff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Doru Burtescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertram Svenningsen's late challenge caught a AFC Napoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertram Svenningsen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AFC Napoca booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. Chris Nygaard in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mircea Mitulescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mircea Mitulescu stood somewhat misplaced when Chris Nygaard came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 57 minute. Mircea Mitulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Steen, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Mikkel Wulff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikkel Wulff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mircea Mitulescu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lars Steen. 75 minutes into the game, Martin Pătrășconiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. In the 75th match minute, AFC Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Pătrășconiu to maneuver through the defense. AFC Napoca made a substitution.
