Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe got a free kick in the 5th minute. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jaspar Van Den Broeck hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Ümit Karan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gabriel Ascaso, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Aranda in the 12th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spain's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Omar Toledo in the 17th minute. Spain's Omar Toledo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vítor Baia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Brugge United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaspar Van Den Broeck in the 21st minute. David Aranda struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Vítor Baia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spain. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 25th minute of play. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 32nd minute of the match. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Toledo in the 34th minute of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jon Cubero succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 57th playminute. Brugge United made a substitution. Waud Huijbrechts replaced Jaspar Van Den Broeck. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Gaúcho in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, Brugge United's Vítor Baia got control of the ball when Omar Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Spain's Sergio Ruiz was substituted for Adria Bielsa. In the 92nd minute, Spain's Sergio Ruiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vítor Baia. Vítor Baia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When Pau Herrero came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Spain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pau Herrero couldn't finish the play. Spain played a much better game than Brugge United and deserved their victory. The Brugge United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
