If Jonas Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 13th minute of play forced Rufián's goalkeeper Fabian Timo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rufián's Gualterio Henrico got a free kick in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Generoso Toro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Keld Paulsen. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Etxekopar in the 29th minute of the match. Jonas Figueroa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Generoso Toro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Keld Paulsen. That made the score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Generoso Toro in the 39th minute. In the 39th minute, Bertram Svenningsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafin Garaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. Godfredo Etxekopar kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Godfredo Etxekopar made a precise shot to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. A sloppy throw-in by Lino Jerardo in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Bjarne Kirkegaard. The supporters of Denmark booed when Rufián was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Garaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Denmark players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rufián.
