A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Figueroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute of the match Rufián got a corner. Denmark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnulfo Otsando ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Fabian Timo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. In the 18th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Timo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Jonas Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Toro in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafin Garaona during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabian Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Denmark's Keld Paulsen got control of the ball when Generoso Toro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rufián's Fabian Timo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 29th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rufián's Generoso Toro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Keld Paulsen. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. In the 32nd minute, Generoso Toro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, Bertram Svenningsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Fabian Timo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Generoso Toro sent off a good shot on target. Generoso Toro spun around in front of the goal 38 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Denmark's goal. Serafin Garaona kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Toro in the 43rd minute of play. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Jonas Figueroa struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rufián. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 52 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Ludvigsen. In the last second Fabian Timo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Chris Nygaard in the 58thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 62 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Ludvigsen. 65 minutes into the game, Generoso Toro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rufián's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Generoso Toro hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Ludvigsen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olav Graversen during the 68th minute. When Generoso Toro came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Rufián fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Toro couldn't finish the play. Rufián's Benedicto Evangelista was substituted for Jonas Figueroa. In the 74th minute of the match Arnulfo Otsando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen skillfully saved the ball. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Toro in the 77th minute of play. Godofredo Gabon scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rufián's Eduardo Paulin was substituted for Godofredo Gabon. 90 minutes into the game, Serafin Garaona threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rufián's Generoso Toro got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Generoso Toro made a precise shot to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1.
