Adriano Curto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Alvaro Sanna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Michelini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinando Michelini in the 90th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
