The Fluminense DF fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Fluminense DF's Liam Bray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pablo Campodónico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liam Bray in the 18th minute of play. Liam Bray scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Campodónico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liam Bray in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pablo Campodónico saved Mockfjärd from getting behind. After having played for 34 minutes, Liam Bray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fluminense DF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam Bray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Fluminense DF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mockfjärd's much stronger midfield.
