With his leg Andries Van Mechelen managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Korona Kielce's Chesney Summers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gerry Furniss's late challenge caught a YR Mechelen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerry Furniss helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Korona Kielce got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Furniss. In the 43rdth minute of the game Chesney Summers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chesney Summers was the one to do the kick off. Andries Van Mechelen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chesney Summers's shot from short distance in the 50th minute. Andries Van Mechelen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Lilleeng in the 54th minute of play. Bartosz Rymaniak hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivar Lilleeng in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andries Van Mechelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Lilleeng came free, but Andries Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Korona Kielce's Ivar Lilleeng made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andries Van Mechelen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andries Van Mechelen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivar Lilleeng went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score.
