The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Giuseppe Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Adolphe De Maerschalckx hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Andries Van Mechelen made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Bo Ekström sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Mockfjärd's Maarten Mur ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andries Van Mechelen. Andries Van Mechelen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Mockfjärd getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Giuseppe Sá hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Mockfjärd's goal looked a bit too open when Tuur Candries came free, but Pablo Campodónico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute YR Mechelen were awarded a corner. Vincent Van Mechelen went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on YR Mechelen's corner Vincent Van Mechelen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pablo Campodónico quite easily take care of the ball. Mockfjärd's Bo Ekström got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andries Van Mechelen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bo Ekström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. If Maarten Mur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 46 minutes into the match, Mockfjärd's Bo Ekström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andries Van Mechelen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bo Ekström made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Leo Van Mechelen hit a great ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Maarten Mur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th minute Maarten Mur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andries Van Mechelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by YR Mechelen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Kvarnström was slow to take the kick. During this time Mockfjärd's players had a chance to rest. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Pablo Campodónico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bo Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andries Van Mechelen having to interfere. Adolphe De Maerschalckx hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Ivar Holmberg in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by YR Mechelen's Adolphe De Maerschalckx. Mockfjärd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Paul-Louis Van Mechelen scored to the left of an out of position Pablo Campodónico, making the score, 3-1. Giuseppe Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Karl Hedkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Mockfjärd got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Åke Hedvall. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mockfjärd fully deserved thier win.
