FC Bruges's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Christian Almkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Mac Mon took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Giorgio March to make any attempt to save it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Saul Roman managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Roman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luc Van Hinnendael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giorgio March made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavies Muñagorri in the 62nd minute of play. FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Almkvist in the 63rd minute of play. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
