In the 7th minute Bernardo Urtzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tauri Koha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike van Zeijl in the 10th minute of play. Tauri Koha was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dune's goalkeeper Tauri Koha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Van Kamp in the 29th minute of play forced Dune's goalkeeper Tauri Koha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Dune defense, Xavies Muñagorri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tauri Koha. The Dune fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tauri Koha should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Xavies Muñagorri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bruges fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Illimar Valgupera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luc Van Hinnendael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tauri Koha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ken Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tauri Koha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Van Kamp in the 45th minute of the match. Taavi Voltri hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

If Mac Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Bruges's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mac Mon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dune made a substitution. Adolf Lausmäe replaced Ainar Ütt. If Mike van Zeijl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike van Zeijl in the 82nd minute of play. The corner ended in Taavi Voltri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael did a great save. The supporters of Dune booed when FC Bruges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Katsanikas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Xavies Muñagorri took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Tauri Koha to make any attempt to save it. Xavies Muñagorri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Tauri Koha made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Bruges eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
