Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alonso Corrales started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Accrington booed when Stowmarket City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jhonnatan Santamaria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Arturo Umaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Velis during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alonso Corrales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efren Prado in the 18th minute of play forced Accrington's goalkeeper Angel Pedrozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Edgar Díaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Accrington's Angel Pedrozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marcos Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Umaña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Ortiz in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonso Corrales in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Umaña saved Stowmarket City from getting behind. Efren Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Stowmarket City's Arturo Umaña got control of the ball when Marcos Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Arturo Umaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Ortizs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Arturo Umaña to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efren Prado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Efren Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Pedrozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Díaz in the 53rd minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Edgar Díaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stowmarket City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Díaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Pedrozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Díaz in the 61st minute. Edgar Díaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Marcos Ortiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arturo Umaña. Stowmarket City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Ortiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Efren Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Alonso Corrales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Accrington fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stowmarket City had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
