Arturo Umaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Sandoval in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Milton Granados got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Stowmarket City's Edgar Díaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenzo Barragan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mario Sandoval recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Velis during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Stowmarket City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Velis to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Díaz succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. When Felipe Carballo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Buxton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Carballo couldn't finish the play. Milton Granados recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Enrique Cerritos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buxton AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stowmarket City the free kick. The supporters of Stowmarket City booed when Buxton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Cerritos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Buxton AFC's Milton Granados got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Buxton AFC's Lorenzo Barragan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benji Zapata in the 56th minute of play. Alejandro Oporto kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Mario Sandoval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Carballo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Benji Zapata hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Milton Granados sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mario Sandoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Arturo Umaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Umaña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milton Granados, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Stowmarket City succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Buxton AFC had controlled the match.
