Filomeno Ponciano started the match with the kick off. Filomeno Ponciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Dionisio Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Argoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dionisio Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Ponciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Cachipampa FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nicanor Itzaina hit a great ball. A collision led to Cachipampa FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Teodosio Oliverio hit a great ball. Cachipampa FC's Faustino Telmo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Progresso AFC booed when Cachipampa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Itzaina didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Filomeno Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Argoitz in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Cachipampa FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustino Telmo was the one to do the kick off. If Ciriaco Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Progresso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Frisco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Telmo in the 54th minute of play forced Progresso AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Benedicto Admon made a precise shot to the right of Dionisio Elizardo. Cachipampa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fausto Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Telmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 67 played minutes Cachipampa FC got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Menendo. Progresso AFC's Pedro Illart couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cachipampa FC. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Moises Dabi put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cachipampa FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Dionisio Elizardo went to the wrong direction when Pedro Illart was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 75th minute Benedicto Admon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Ciriaco Barea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ernesto Frisco fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progresso AFC's protests and gave Ernesto Frisco a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Progresso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Frisco. Dionisio Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Ponciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cachipampa FC's Dionisio Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Admon in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Ciriaco Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachipampa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Barea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Paulin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciriaco Barea went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cachipampa FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
