After 2 minutes, Leonel Tome mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quebrachal and the Progresso AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonel Tome hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Quebrachal's Maximiliano Quintin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Quebrachal from getting a goal against them. Nestor Euloxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Fausto Paulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Quebrachal's zone, Filomeno Ponciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Quintin came out of the goal and Filomeno Ponciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Filomeno Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Oro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Paulin having to interfere. Nestor Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Paulin having to interfere. Filomeno Ponciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd match minute, Progresso AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Illart to maneuver through the defense. When Quebrachal's Vladimiro Oro, in the 43rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Quebrachal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Euloxu in the 48th minute of play forced Progresso AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Quebrachal's Nestor Euloxu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto Paulin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

Filomeno Ponciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vladimiro Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Euloxu came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fausto Paulin could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leandro Federigo during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Progresso AFC! Benedicto Admon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. The supporters of Progresso AFC booed when Quebrachal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Eron didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Ponciano in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximiliano Quintin saved Quebrachal from getting behind. Quebrachal's Maximiliano Quintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Ponciano in the 77th minute of play. Filomeno Ponciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Quintin having to interfere. Fausto Paulin was a little too slow when Vladimiro Oro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 85th minute, Leonel Tome hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Quintin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Ponciano in the 86th minute of the match. Fausto Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Oro in the 92nd minute of play. Progresso AFC's Filomeno Ponciano got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quebrachal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
