After a defensive mix-up in Cachipampa FC's zone, Vinicio Garikoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Elizardo came out of the goal and Vinicio Garikoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Cachipampa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Ponce came free, but Dionisio Elizardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionisio Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Honorato Ponce put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dionisio Elizardo. In the 20th minute Vinicio Garikoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustino Telmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes of play, Palmar AFC's Vinicio Garikoitz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dionisio Elizardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Faustino Telmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Jacob having to interfere. Vinicio Garikoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Cachipampa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Garikoitz came free, but Dionisio Elizardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Garikoitz struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Dionisio Elizardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmar AFC. In the 45th match minute, Palmar AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Checa to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ciriaco Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachipampa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Barea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Jacob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Faustino Telmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cachipampa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palmar AFC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Telmo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes Cachipampa FC got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Balendin. Jairo Checa was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Cachipampa FC booed when Palmar AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Checa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Faustino Telmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Fulgencio Patxi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Faustino Telmo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Denis Jacob was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ciriaco Barea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Denis Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ciriaco Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despite being the better team, Cachipampa FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
